Effective Teaching Practices: Techniques That Raise Academic and Behavioral Expectations (Elementary)
Classroom management is a skill that is not only learned but practiced daily. The focused outcomes of this session will assist novice teachers in building a strong and vibrant classroom culture. Participants will have an opportunity to practice research-based tools and techniques that will unlock the talent and skill waiting in his or her students. Divided into two separate sessions for elementary and secondary teachers, each will provide concrete and specific techniques. This session will cultivate the teacher's capacity to maximize student learning and create and maintain well-managed classrooms that foster students' physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being.
